What to Expect
Wear loose, comfortable clothes that can be pulled up and allow access to the lower leg and forearm.

It is a good idea to eat something a few hours before treatment.  If this is your first visit, please read our welcome letter and fill out the intake forms. If you are unable to do so, please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment to complete the forms at the clinic.

Please refrain from wearing any perfumes or scented oils.  Many patients, including pregnant women and those undergoing radiation and chemotherapy, are very sensitive to fragrances.
If possible, set aside time after your treatment to rest.
  • When You Arrive
Hang up your coat, visit the restroom if you need to.  On the reception desk, you will find an envelope with your name on it.  Put your payment in the envelope and drop the envelope into the payment box.  Please let us know if you need change.  Then proceed to the treatment room.  On your way in, you may grab a blanket if you wish.  Find a recliner, place your socks, shoes and belongings in the bucket under the recliner and make yourself comfortable.
  • Your First Visit
You and the acupuncturist will go through the health history forms, discuss your health and what brought you to the clinic.  The acupuncturist will check your pulses and suggest a treatment plan for you.  The intake might take up to half an hour.
  • Your Return Visits
Choose a recliner and get settled in.  Your acupuncturist will greet you and discreetly ask about your health and the status of your condition.  She will insert the needles, ensure that you are comfortable before she leaves you to rest and let the needles do their job.  A typical session can last from 20 minutes to an hour.
